I’m not sure what this is but it does sound like another OTC pill. Every day the media bombards us with new diet plans, pills, books, solutions, and hope. It’s too stressful keep up with what’s going on. I don’t.
The best way to lose weight reasonably is to eat well and to exercise (walk, bike, or run).. Your body is like a “car”. If you feed your body with “low octane”, you may puddle here and there. But if you feed your body with “high octane”, you will run smoothly. You need good energy in order to sustain the type of exercise you will do, so treat yourself right. Don’t feed your body with junk!
Start out by walking 1/2 hour until you build endurance. It will take time, so despair. In my 20’s, I used to walk as much as 8 hours. That’s extreme but that how much of an endurance I built.
To keep yourself motivated, bring a mp3 player packed with songs or educational materials. Never walk right after you finish eating and always be vigilant of your surroundings.
In the meantime, ditch those Costco coupons or sell them on eBay like two other people…..That’s another story……
Don’t know about Costco, but my local super markets have Buy one Get one Free. There is never anything on that list I would have in my house FREE. Flavored crackers, frozen fried chicken, cookies, candy, pasteries, white breads etc. Hey, how about a cucumber, buy one get one free, dark greens, the same. Maybe apples or celery? But NOOO, just junk!! Rant and Rave, Marge
I don’t shop at Costco but I do Sam’s Club. Same concept and I load up on Water, fruit and veggies there so Buying in bulk while dieting is not always a bad thing.
I can’t buy bulk, for some reason we end up eating 1 month of stuff in 1 week, so I just can’t do it!
Thanks kindly for all the data on some of the foods that I did not realize are bad…like V8 juice. I too stopped buying most food at Costco, though I do like their bulk coffee (don’t tell me NOT to drink coffee HA). In this case perhaps we could all say that “less is more” and by not buying bulk you can save money and calories.
I do like their collections of greeting cards and office supplies however and the optical dept. does make the lens perfect. I know that has nothing to do with our food on this website; however, I thought in defense for Costco, I would state some positives!
