A “Spooky” Diet

I’m not fan of rapid weight loss. Knowing that our cells struggle with inhibitors on a daily basis to turn food into energy makes me wonder why the health professionals don’t even put their feet down and say, “Going on a diet below your basal metabolic rate can be dangerous. The FDA should outlaw them.”

Instead they let us mesmerize with images of “hot bod” that we know are impossible to achieve, and they let us do whatever our hearts desire to look like that. Many get desperate. We want FAST RESULTS! We can’t wait. We have to lose 20 lbs. in one month, etc.

Well, twice the night before Halloween, be warn about this “spooky” diet. It’s called the Beverly Hills Diet, a diet that Maria Shriver and Jodie Foster were once on. Be glad that they aren’t because this diet is fatal. I will spare you the “spooky” details, but you can catch this creature feature from either links below. Be warn. This diet may “haunt” you.

Happy Halloween everyone!

More on the KinKin diet

For those following the KimKin diet drama, Heidi Diaz will be in court on November 1st to face questions filed against her. It will be interesting to find out how she answers some of the questions, such as eye color change and her “multiple” looks.

More interesting is this suspecting fraudulent diet diva is NOT going to admit guilt. Her last entry dated on October 14, 2007 shows 506 calories of which half of her “claimed” diet comes from her protein with very little carbs.

Be aware there are no health warnings on her blog about this diet! Newbie dieters and those desperate to lose weight are destined to fall for this scheme.

How do I know the above is her diet log? If you read through her forum, there is a link of her diet blog. That link matches the one above.

How to Make Bath….

Packed with oil(s), bath bombs can supple the skin and relieve workout tensions. They are fun and inexpensive to make.

If you have never seen bath bombs, Lush, an International upscale bath salon, carries an assortment of bath bombs. Here’s what they look like.

To make bath bombs, you will need:

1) Molds - I’ve used ice cube trays in the past, and they’ve worked just fine. But I got these cheap tart molds at a local thrift store called Daiso -2 molds for $1.50.

2) Citric Acid - This is the same ingredient that makes soft drinks fizzle.

3) A Few Tablespoons of “Healing” Oil - Olive oil will work just fine. I use apricot oil, which has a soft lingering sweet scent.

4) EO (Essential Oil) - Lemon, orange, rosemary, or lavender will work.

5) Some Paper Bags - It will get messy.

6) One recipe which you can download from this site.

7) Some imagination and creativity. Voila!

The Sleuth Behind the KimKin Diet

If you haven’t heard about the KimKin diet, don’t worry, you haven’t missed a thing. Unlike other diets, this diet has a plot that thickens everyday. It has sparked so much interest in the media that you wonder what will happen next to these dieters.

The story goes like this. A woman by the name of Heidi Miller Diaz claimed to have dropped 198 lbs. within a given year. She then proceeded to start a web site soliciting members for a lifetime fee of $59.95 that if they followed her instructions, they could lose weight without exercising.

Countless victims, especially those who were desperate to lose weight saw inspiration in Diaz. They figured that if Diaz could achieve a nice figure, they could too. Many poured “hope” money in but what they soon learned was a surprise:

1) The Kimkin diet was (is) UNSAFE. Fainting, hair loss, heart palpitations, and loss of menstrual cycle were some of the health issues encountered with this diet.

2) A private investigator discovered her not to be a woman dressed in the red dress but of a woman still struggling with her weight issue.

3) The woman in the sexy red dress turned out to be a Russian mail order bride.
