A “Spooky” Diet

I’m not fan of rapid weight loss. Knowing that our cells struggle with inhibitors on a daily basis to turn food into energy makes me wonder why the health professionals don’t even put their feet down and say, “Going on a diet below your basal metabolic rate can be dangerous. The FDA should outlaw them.”

Instead they let us mesmerize with images of “hot bod” that we know are impossible to achieve, and they let us do whatever our hearts desire to look like that. Many get desperate. We want FAST RESULTS! We can’t wait. We have to lose 20 lbs. in one month, etc.

Well, twice the night before Halloween, be warn about this “spooky” diet. It’s called the Beverly Hills Diet, a diet that Maria Shriver and Jodie Foster were once on. Be glad that they aren’t because this diet is fatal. I will spare you the “spooky” details, but you can catch this creature feature from either links below. Be warn. This diet may “haunt” you.

Happy Halloween everyone!

I have read that book, but knew stat it would be dangerous. I had never heard of the Kimkids diet until you warned us on your blog. I can understand the mind set of wanting the weight off NOW, because I have had a terrible struggle KEEPING the weight off for 25 years. I will slip and under extreme stress, such as becoming a widow last year, fall back into the old eating patterns. Just eat those veggies and whole grains, a little fruit and chicken breast, salmon, and MOVE. Thank you for the REAL truth about these hoaxes. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Marge

I am one of those people who want it off now, and I am thankful when people like you let us know the real truth behind some of these things. I trust your advice more than The magazines.
    Thanks for the warning.

It’s amazing what people come up with. I used to want it off now. I came to the realization that I really want it off the right way. Slower is better and with more success. If you think about it, we still take it off faster then we put it on. Thank you for sharing and the warning. We should change our lifestyle and not diet.
