“The U.S. Olympic swimmer told ESPN that he eats roughly 8,000-10,000
calories a day, including “lots of pizza and pasta.” In addition to
stuffing down carbs, he’s said that he routinely eats foods like fried egg
sandwiches.”

his secret is that he swims 4 hours a day, weight trains another hour or so….. he needs the extra carbs for energy or else he wouldnt perform as well as he does. Oh and he’s male… so he has greater muscle mass and is able to burn off more calories at a quicker rate.

Yes, his secret if actually very clear……. workouts out like a maniac!!

    That’s why he’s an olympic swimmer….lol

If I eat like that (which I’m sure I have at one point) I would a fat cow….which I was at one point. Only cuz I never really worked out…. and no way working out 1 hour a day will cut it…lol

lol yeah, he’s got no secret…it’s out in the open. The man workouts out at a phenomenal level. And, like LittleFlower said, he’s gotta eat those extra carbs because it gives him the type of energy he needs for his workouts.

It’s a bit of mystery. Is it even possible to burn 10000 calories in a day? Then again, Michael Phelps makes me want to work out more.
