What Google is Saying About Dieting? - Does It Work or Not?

If you Google the following, you are going to get some interesting results:
1) “dieting does work” - 427 links

2) “dieting doesn’t work” - 18 million links.

3) “dieting does not work” - 1 million links.

4) “diet does work” - 2.5 million links.

5) “diet doesn’t work” - 20 million links.

6)  “diet does not work” - 2.4 million links.

It appears that every dieter has issues, me included.  Between last year and this year, I lost zero pounds.   I am lucky not to gain any weight back.  But what’s the point in dieting when I’m not going to benefit fro?

I tried every diet there is and all worked…short term…! Long term none of them worked for me, because you have to cut out certain food. I can not commit to never again eating chocolate, potatoes or bread etc. I just try to eat as healthy as possible, watch the calories and try to stay away from sugar as much as possible.

Because it’s not really about “dieting”. We have to learn a whole new way of eating (and NO, it’s not about deprivation!) and exercising daily. It IS possible to lose weight, I am living proof of that. I intend to be living proof that it is also possible to keep it off, too. :)

Still here and keeping the weight off. Even with the disc problems in my neck (really bad) and the disc problems in my back, I am finding a way to make life worth living. NEVER GIVE UP! I may falter and think about “giving up”, I just can’t stand to go back to my old habits. Food is not the answer to ANYTHING except fuel and healthy enjoyment. YUCK! Don’t want the greasy, cloying taste I used to enjoy so much. Hugs, Marge. HAPPY NEW YEAR
